Well! I’ve officially closed down the retail side of things and have been moving full steam ahead on what I truly love.. business development!

This past month I:

Designed a closing event flyer for a dear client Sixth Avenue Pet Source who is on to new adventures!

Began working on marketing and PR for Frock Shop, a company that will work with our local boutiques and designers by creating pop up sample sales. We’ll be hosting the first one at my space on 1070 Bannock Street! B.23 Productions has begun work on the flyer design and public relations of this event as well as work in social media.

I just finished up building a website for furniture and accessory designer Kathy Friez of En Suite Limited. It’s really important for me to create websites that my client can easily update on their own! Kathy and I will begin training next week so she’ll be updating her site. She’s a very talented designer whose husband’s upholstery business is next door to my business.

I’m working on a website for Benefiel Design, the designer of my new collaborative workspace. He’s an amazing industrial designer and it’s really fun to work on his branding and website while he simultaneously works on building out my space!

I was reconnected with a client that I first started working with 5 or 6 years ago and she is now in England starting an online business called Off The Main Street. B.23 Productions worked with her on designing a logo as well as a variety of web banners for her online store. Our first official international client of the year

I’ve had the pleasure to consult with 3 future business owners and give them guidance into their business endeavors. Consulting really makes my heart happy!! Each and every person that I’ve consulted with is a creative and talented person and their talents will soon shine for the world to see.

Besides consulting with the fabulous Summer Jackson, we did a little bit of PR work for her amazing event, March of the Zombies! Summer is an absolute dreamer and doer and I’ve had the pleasure of working with her for quite some time. Besides being a designer, she’s an event producer, and consultant.  She is an inspiring lady!

And! To keep things in the fashion mix, I am the co-producer of the Denver Public Library’s Frock Out 2012! For this event, I’ve coordinated auditions, coordinated judges, coordinated models, and am helping to make this benefit a wonderful success! I’m also the website developer of Frock Out as well as the social media engine behind the project. This is a project that I’ve definitely got my hands on many aspects and the ride has been an exciting one! I’m excited for the event to unfold!

As we roll into March, I’ll be working on the rebranding of one of my favorite resturants Parisi as well as developing their new and improved website. I have been friends with Christine Parisi for over a decade and it’s such a treat to be able to work with friends on a professional level while supporting each other’s passions. I’m also finishing up a web design / marketing for jewelry designer Lynn of Nur Forever as well as getting ready to launch our new space.  Wheeew! I guess there hasn’t really been a dull moment since I decided to close the shop down

I’m so honored to work with the clients that I work with. I’m constantly inspired by their stories and find the challenge of designing something that fits their businesses an exciting feat!

One of the most fun things I love about being a business owner is all of the wonderful clients that I get to work with. It’s a personal experience and I’m able to get a taste of a “day in the life of” each of my clients. My clients continue to inspire me and challenge me to do my best.

I walked into Brandi’s studio with a dream, a tea bag and a type-face and asked her to put together a website and “Brand” for my new business.  She turned the tea bag flower into a magical, spot-on logo for Petals, softened the type-face and exploded it all with living color.  Really.  I needed a seat belt just to look at it.

I have tracked my marketing…..when I ask, Why did you chose Petals?  Over 80% begin with….well, after I saw your website……And it’s the website that nails the sale so to speak….

Today was a fantastic day at the office! I’m working with Ian Kennedy on his branding and website.  Ian has a beautiful collection of vintage jewelry and home decor in which he is working on getting it out to the style mavens who seek to have unique pieces.  Ian is partnering up with his close friend Gretchen Jones, winner of Project Runway, season 8 and together they are combining ” modern american west adornment for self and home.”

We decided on a simple logo that is elegant and sophisticated with a touch of turquoise. Bringing the photography together with the logo, we created a postcard that portrayed the look and feel of his fashion sense.
